Four thousand little kids die every day from lack of access to clean drinking water, but we're going to fix it....and we are asking you to join us because Little People Matter!
Early in 2014, hundreds of families were moved to action after watching a YouTube video (featuring Aaron and Isaac) explaining the world’s water crisis. Those kids and families were invited to be a part of the solution, and they responded by raising $12,000 in 30 days and fully funding two clean water wells in Sierra Leone, Africa.
Kids from all over the country ran to their rooms, to their personal lego collections, and sent in 4,000 Lego mini figures to be featured in a mobile "infographic" display that would continue to share the problem at gatherings around the country, all while inviting kids, adults, and families to be a part of the solution to this crisis.
The "Lego Wall” display is COMPLETE thanks to this partnership with hundreds of people from around the country!
It serves as a colorful, creative, compelling, and stirring image of the scope of the world’s water crisis. Yet, it offers hope that anyone (especially children!) can be a part of the solution (e-mail if you are interested in hosting the "Lego Wall” at your event: email@example.com
Here's how you can be a part of the solution.
1. Make a donation
"LittlePeopleMatter” wells are being dug, but there continues to be a need for funding to dig more! Make a donation today on this page to help solve the problem. You can have full confidence that your entire donation goes to provide people clean water for those experiencing unjust suffering in Sierra Leone, Africa. Your secure donation will be given directly to our favorite clean water organization, Let Them Laugh Out Loud
(all donations are tax deductible).
2. Start your own campaign.
The "Lego Wall" is complete and travels around to school, churches, and gatherings to tell the story. After seeing the wall and truly understanding the problem, groups are starting their own campaigns (with or without Legos) to raise money and awareness. There have been some very creative campaigns in the last year...people running marathons, selling prom dresses, lemonade stands, etc.
Click on the link on the right (“create or join team”) to start your own campaign. Set your own goal and start fundraising! (Be creative and be fearless….who would have thought that one YouTube video and some Legos would lead to raising $12,000 in 4 weeks?!!)
3. Share the story.
Share this page on social media…tell your friends…talk about the problem. The more people are aware, the closer we all come to solving this water crisis.
